• Aji Norteno (C. baccatum)

  A moderately hot, delicious Aji from Peru’s northern coastal valleys. Large pods with thick flesh makes this variety one of the best for culinary uses. Slightly sweet, fruity flavor. These beautiful peppers are typically served fresh as side dishes with seafood in Peru. The plant can get large but easy to grow. Keep it as a compact plant easily with scissors as it grows fast. These pods are GREAT for stuffing too!
  Gives great yields. Tolerates more cold climates. Easy to overwinter too.

• Fidalgo Roxa (C. chinense)

  This rare variety is one of the best looking chile peppers there is. When filled with mature pods, it looks like a plant holding candies. Besides being quite hot, they look just amazing with purple-green color when immature and purple-pink color when mature. Just look at the pictures and see for yourself, a real eye-catcher. The taste is also very good. One of greatest habanero-relatives out there. A true chilehead definitely will have this variety in his/her collection. Rare and exceptionally unusual! Grows well even in small pots. Great as a bonsai chile pepper! Open pollinated.

  Challenge: 1 (quite easy to grow).

• Habanero, Avenir (C. chinense)

  Wonderful, shiny red, big and very aromatic habanero which gives great yields even when grown in pots.
  The heat level is very high but far from the superhots these days. Very good when dried and powdered or used as flakes. If you are looking for the classic Habanero taste. Here it is!

  Challenge: 1 (Very easy to grow!)

• Jalapeno, Summer Heat (C. annuum)

  Great Jalapeno variant with a thick meat and medium heat level. The plant is quite compact and ripens a little faster than Jalapenos generally tend to. Recommended for outdoor and greenhouse growing.

  Challenge: 2 (can be weak against pests, especially indoors)
